By participating in the ReGen-Brain clinical trial, you will learn if
you do or do not have the APOE4 gene and therefore an increased
genetic risk of Alzheimer’s disease. To participate in this study,
patients must have the APOE4 gene, which is a risk factor for
Alzheimer’s disease.

For this reason, we ask you to watch the video below in which a
genetic counselor gives an overview of the APOE4 gene and explains
what it means to have or not a genetic risk for Alzheimer’s disease. A
genetic counselor is a specialized healthcare professional that works
with patients to help them understand information about how inherited
conditions might affect them. Additionally, a qualified healthcare
provider at your study site is available to discuss the information
further and answer any questions you might have.
